Our client has an exciting opportunity for an experienced full or part time Small Animal Vet to join their team of superstars at this purpose built Veterinary Hospital based in Bridgend.

This is a friendly and supportive team of incredible people, including a 22-Vet team and Advanced Practitioners in both small animal medicine and surgery. The team are experienced and equipped to diagnose and treat the majority of cases in house, without the need for referral. They provide support to all team members in their career progression and further studies are actively encouraged with many of the Vets currently undertaking certificates in medicine, cardiology and emergency and critical care.

The practice is headed by 5 young Clinical Directors who work alongside the team in the consult rooms and the operating theatres - this is a team that believes that no one member is more important than another and the whole team pride themselves on being friendly and approachable.

This is a busy RCVS Hospital and you will be actively encouraged to follow your cases through from consultation to diagnosis and treatment. You will undertake a varied mixture of consulting, medical investigations, and surgical cases. There is also the option to carry out work at the nearby Dogs Trust charity centres in Bridgend and Cardiff.

The team offer an in-house OOH service and all take a fair share of the weekend work (never more frequent than every third weekend). The majority of Vets take part in either the 1st on call night rota or the second on call back up rota.

The team are keen to find the right person for the job and are willing to tailor make this role to suit the right individual - whether you are looking for a part time position, flexible job sharing, or no OOH, these will all be considered and a relocation package can also be offered.

The package includes 28 days (6.6 weeks) holiday per year which is inclusive of bank holidays, 2 weeks full sick pay and 2 weeks half sick pay, Royal College fees, another professional subscription of your choice and health shield membership. Starting salary is between £40,000-£60,000, depending on your experience.

The main hospital is situated in Bridgend, which is nestled between the bright lights of Cardiff to the East and Swansea to the West, the rugged Brecon Beacons to the North and the award-winning beaches to the South. This area offers an abundance for you to do in your downtime away from work.

If this role sounds of interest please email your CV through to jo@brightleaf.co.uk or give me a call on 01422 433900.
