Job Description Job Summary main responsibilities: Lead and oversee implementation of Trade Compliance (TC) program elements, policies and procedures and automated tools at Teledyne e2v location in Chelmsford (UK), based on regulatory and corporate requirements. Ensure proper TC controls are identified and embedded into local business processes and operations at Teledyne e2v location in Chelmsford (UK) and consistently executed. Conduct transactional reviews, apply for and manage local export authorisations, conduct denied party screening, jurisdiction and classification, support transactions due diligence, technology transfers, facility controls and records keeping management. Provide consistent guidance and frequent communication on trade compliance matters, including regular regulatory updates relevant to Teledyne e2v location in Chelmsford (UK) to raise awareness on trade compliance. Conduct and support internal assessments, investigations and completion of corrective actions at Teledyne e2v location in Chelmsford (UK). Identify training needs related to export compliance and conduct training sessions, participate in mandatory training sessions and ensure constant self-education in the area of trade compliance. Continuously seek improvements without compromising the compliance level, utilize benchmark opportunities and lessons learned from reviews, audits and internal reports. Requirements

: In-depth knowledge of UK & US Export Laws and Regulations. Experience with managing teams and building and maintaining relations with senior business leaders. Ability to understand and communicate complicated issues into easy-to-understand language. Experience in implementation of trade compliance programs. Experience with collecting and analysing data and preparing concise and timely reports. Knowledge of industry practices. Experienced with solving complex problems using collaborative techniques. Bachelor’s degree in business or related field (or combination of education and experience). Proven direct experience with International Trade Regulations. Strong Computer Skills: SAP/S4H (GTS module), Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint. SharePoint experience beneficial. Key Skills and Competencies required

: Experience in High Technology, Defence or Aerospace environment. Strong leadership skills required. Previous program/project management experience highly desired. Previous experience in a similar capacity for a high tech/defence firm with large shipment volume and licensing. Expertise in end-use/end-user assurance requirements and procedures in various national jurisdictions, including United Kingdom, EU and United States. Extensive experience with dealing with UK Military and Dual Use products and multilateral control regimes. Proven knowledge of ITAR or EAR regulations and global sanctions framework. Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation). Able to serve as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues. Able to constructively work under stress and pressure when faced with high workloads and deadlines; able to make sound and timely business decisions. This position requires access to export-controlled information or items (i.e., regulated technology or technical data per ITAR/EAR US regulations). : Chelmsford. Hybrid working schedule (min. 3 days office) to be considered. Relocation package to be considered for full office-based role. Limited travel within UK and internationally.
