External Events Coordinator (South West London/Surrey)

Overview of opportunity Our Branch External Events Coordinators are vital in helping us raise the funds we need to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome or release hundreds of animals each year by organising external events. This can be anything from organising a stall at a local fair, coordinating a donation drop or helping us expand our foodbank provisions. This is an excellent volunteering opportunity which would enable you to play a role in our fundraising activities and gain personal satisfaction and achievement in return. Role Responsibilities You would seek out suitable events we can attend within our local community. You would organise and coordinate the events but also reach out to find new volunteers and utilise our existing volunteers network to help Approach local businesses who might be interested in supporting the branch Ensure that any money raised is collected, banked and recorded safely Maintain the events records and report back to the committee What we are looking for Previous experience of organising events or managing projects on any scale would be ideal We are looking for someone who is reliable and committed to helping us You would have excellent organisational and communication skills as well as being PC literate, you’ll be comfortable promoting our events via social media Have excellent interpersonal skills which you will utilise when interacting with the public Someone who is flexible and can offer an ongoing commitment For this role you will need to be aged 18 or over What we can offer you Support will be provided throughout your time with us, you’ll also benefit from; Meeting new people and making new friends in your local area Learn new skills to add to your CV An excellent induction and training programme relevant to your role The opportunity to make a huge difference to the welfare of animals We hope you are interested in volunteering for our branch!
