Operations Manager Overview:

As the Registered Manager for Extra Care at Care Choice North West, you will be responsible for the overall management and delivery of high-quality care services to our residents. You will ensure that the services provided are person-centred, comply with regulatory standards, and meet the individual needs and aspirations of our service users. Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management:

Lead, manage, and develop a team of care staff to ensure they deliver person-centred care. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and support. Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure that all services are compliant with Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations and other relevant legislation. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for inspections and audits. Care Delivery:

Oversee the development and implementation of individual care plans, ensuring they are regularly reviewed and updated in line with service user needs and preferences. Quality Assurance:

Monitor the quality of care and support services through regular assessments, feedback, and audits. Implement necessary changes to improve service delivery based on findings. Budget Management:

Assist in managing the budget for the service, ensuring resources are allocated effectively while maintaining high-quality care. Community Engagement:

Promote the service within the local community and build strong relationships with external partners, stakeholders, and families of service users. Training and Development:

Ensure that all staff receive appropriate training and support to carry out their roles effectively, including ongoing professional development and mentorship. Safeguarding:

Uphold safeguarding policies and procedures to protect vulnerable individuals, ensuring a safe environment for both staff and residents. Qualifications and Experience:

Essential: QCF Level 5 in Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care or equivalent. Previous experience in a management role within a care setting, preferably in extra care or supported living. A thorough understanding of CQC regulations and quality standards. Desirable: Experience in developing and implementing care plans. Knowledge of working with local authorities and health services. Understanding of financial management and budgeting in a care setting. Skills:

Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills. Strong communication and organisational abilities. Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities. A commitment to providing high-quality, person-centred care. Personal Attributes:
