About You For us, personality and passion come before education. Caring experience is ideal, but as long as you have the right attitude and values, we’d love you to apply. You’ll always be supported and looked after by your SCA Care colleagues and the wider Social Care in Action family, and full training will be provided.

About the Role Our Extra Care Schemes support individuals to remain in their own homes with person-centred care to enable them to live as independently as possible while taking into account their choices and respecting their human rights. SCiA works closely with other agencies including CQC, adult services, local GP practices, and the local community. The team at SCA Care believes that helping people live the life they want to lead is extremely important. When you join our team, you’ll make a real and positive impact on the lives of the people we support at our schemes. Working at SCA Care means that you’ll ensure the customer’s home always remains personal to them, and that the care and support given is tailored to their unique and individual needs. A Support Worker’s role can be wide and varied – no two days are the same – but here’s an idea of what you could be doing: Promoting and encouraging independence, while assisting the people we support with their daily routines. Identifying new opportunities for integration, participation, and inclusion, available to the people we support, both within our services and the community. Providing quality personal care, which could include bathing etc. depending on individual needs, while maintaining respect and sensitivity. Participating in household tasks, which include cleaning, cooking, ironing, washing etc. while encouraging the people we support to join in. Engaging in conversation and sometimes having a belly laugh together over something silly! A full detailed job description can be provided upon request and will be given as part of our recruitment process.

About Us SCA Care is dedicated to enhancing our customers’ lives through the delivery of quality-driven care services including Home Care, Live-in Care, Extra Care, and Specialist Care. With a commitment to promoting independence and well-being, our skilled and experienced team provides round-the-clock assistance offering personalised support, designed empathetically to meet customers' individual needs and to help them live their best lives possible.
