The Role: As a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Key Stage 1 (KS1) who require additional help to overcome barriers to learning. You will work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and other professionals to create tailored interventions that meet the needs of individual pupils and help raise attainment.

Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in small groups and one-to-one settings. Assisting with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and providing targeted interventions. Using creative strategies to engage children and promote their confidence, independence, and progress. Monitoring and recording pupil progress to ensure the effectiveness of interventions. Building positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive environment.

About You: We are looking for a passionate, dedicated, and experienced SEN TA who has a proven track record of raising attainment for children with additional needs. The ideal candidate will have:

Relevant experience working with children in EYFS and KS1. A strong understanding of Special Educational Needs and effective intervention strategies. Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills. A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach to supporting young learners. A commitment to upholding the school's values and fostering a positive learning environment.
