A BIT ABOUT THE ROLE

The role is to support the Fabric and Sustainability team with initiatives and administration. The Fabric and Sustainability Assistant reports into the Head of Fabric and they are responsible for the fabric and sustainability administrative duties of the department. This includes ensuring we are up to date with the necessary requirements for the sustainability certifications.

This role will be 4-5 days a week office based.

Support Sustainability team with delivery of critical path - measuring and tracking progress Keep abreast of new sustainability initiatives, presenting new initiatives on the market to Head of Fabric Support as a contact to sustainable bodies and supplier queries. Assist with data roll ups and fabric usage across the business, driving for improvements where needed. Ensure all sustainability copy and labels are in work with correct logo and artwork and approved by the relevant organisation. Work with suppliers and buying teams to ensure that all sustainable claims can be verified and are substantiated Engage commercial teams (buying, design, merchandising, garment technology) on Boden's Sustainability updates, training and queries. Ensuring internal and external training stays relevant according to new legislation and suggest areas for further learning. Maintain the fabric library. Compile fabric boards where required. Manage and maintain the fabric archive on a regular basis. Coordinate new fabric trials within mini and sustainability categories. Fabric test report information correlated and reviewed with manager. Reserve and order sampling Work closely with Tech and PD to ensure all fabric information is correct. Proactive approach to internal and external meetings. Manage and maintain fabric hangers, working closely with suppliers. Manage & maintain fabric sampling trackers with department and suppliers. THE EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Past experience in Sustainability in Fashion A Degree in Sustainability or Fashion/Textiles with specialty in Sustainability Passionate about a career in Sustainability in Fashion Be creative and have a keen eye for detail Excel and Microsoft Office skills PLM experience Experience of being part of a team A BIT ABOUT YOU
