Mirfield A market-leading Automotive business in West Yorkshire requires a Fabrication Team Leader to support their continued growth in the sub-assembly and Fabrication departments. The role involves leading 6 - 8 people, and this position has become available due to an internal promotion within the company. The position would suit individuals with experience leading a team within a manufacturing/engineering environment. This is a hands-on role, and the successful candidate will have exposure to working with aluminium fabrication and using machine shop equipment such as guillotine, folder, cross-cut, and band saw. Key Responsibilities:
Organise the day-to-day duties of your team. Keep work boards updated and allocate work to team members. Ensure all parts have been requested from the two sites and that engineering has been completed. Advise the supervisor of any parts shortages or constraints. Attend and participate in pre-build meetings as required. Assist with the fabrication and assembly of aluminium, stainless steel, and copolymer plastic parts for vehicles. Key Requirements:
Relevant previous experience in a team leader or supervisor role. Excellent problem-solving abilities. Good communication skills, both written and oral. The ability to complete tasks in a timely manner. Good organisational skills. Experience using machine shop equipment such as guillotine, folder, cross-cut, and band saw (no welding required).
