Singh & Jones are working with a well-established facade engineering consultancy, known for their global appeal in the world of Facade Construction and Consulting. Due to substantial growth in tenders and significant investment, my client is keen to strengthen their facade engineering team by recruiting an experienced Senior Facade Engineer to join the middle management team.
The Senior Facade Engineer will report directly to the Director of Facades, and the duties will include:
Analyse configurations of the basic components of aluminium curtain wall, unitised and cladding systems.
Produce finite element analysis and U Values.
Calculate the pressures, stresses, and strains on various loads.
Advise on structural designs and variations.
Liaise with other designers, including architects and main contractors.
Create drawings, specifications, and computer models using AutoCAD and Revit.
Liaise with construction contractors to ensure that newly erected buildings are structurally sound.
Apply expert knowledge of the forces that act on various structures.
Lead and mentor junior staff.
The ideal candidate for the Senior Facade Engineer position will have a similar background/role, with a minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience. A strong academic background is required, including a BSc/MSc in Structural or Civil Engineering/Architectural Technology. Candidates should also be pursuing or have completed their MSc in Facade Engineering or already possess their ASFE (Member Society of Facade Engineering).
