Facilities and Maintenance Manager

A great opportunity within a Dorset-based business for an experienced Facilities Manager. Our well-respected client is seeking a Facilities and Maintenance Manager to oversee the daily operations of facilities across our entire premises. The ideal candidate will collaborate with external suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, implement strategies for facility upgrades and improvements, and develop efficient maintenance and engineering systems. This is an exciting opportunity within a progressive and forward-thinking business, and the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring optimum efficiencies throughout the organisation.

Responsibilities as Facilities and Maintenance Manager

Oversee the daily operations of facilities, including maintenance and engineering systems Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to implement strategies for facility upgrades and improvements Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across the site Provide guidance and support to maintain high-quality work standards Liaise with cross-functional teams to optimise efficiencies across the business Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts Address facility-related issues and provide practical solutions Challenge conventional practices and think laterally to drive innovation and efficiency

Qualifications as Facilities and Maintenance Manager Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a manufacturing and engineering business Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Demonstrated ability to develop efficient maintenance and engineering systems Experience in supplier liaison and contract negotiation Proven track record of implementing continuous improvement initiatives Analytical and practical mindset with strong problem-solving skills Commitment to the well-being and safety of all employees and visitors Ability to think creatively and challenge conventional practices
