We are currently seeking a Facilities & Services Manager, who will play a key role in supporting the Head of Facilities and Services in delivering the operations strategic objectives and be proactive and forward-thinking in supporting and delivering change management programmes, standardisation and centralisation of processes across all Campuses. Day to day, you will be responsible for the operational running of the department, leading on environmental initiatives and providing an efficient, effective, and economic Facilities service.

About the Role As our Facilities & Service Manager, you will lead our Facilities Team in delivering high-quality services across the University and will be responsible for the operational running of the facility's professional services team across the various campus portfolio. The role will be an advocate for the Estates and Services department and will help the team to apply a service-led culture supporting the delivery of the Facilities and Services Strategy, particularly for managing and developing the Facilities Services within the Estates and Services Department to a high-quality standard. In addition, you will establish and maintain excellent working relationships based on open and honest communication with stakeholder representatives to ensure confidence in our business presenting a credible and professional image. About You This role is about managing people and suppliers whilst at the same time managing customer expectations. You must therefore be able to communicate well at all levels. You will have the skills to coach and mentor employees to create a safe and trusting work environment. You will have extensive background knowledge of Facilities Management, with some knowledge of the Higher Education sector which would be beneficial. You will also have experience in strategy development, stakeholder engagement, and managing change, alongside expertise in Health & Safety (IOSH/NEBOSH), project management, and soft services. A full UK driving license and a flexible, results-driven approach are essential.

Additional Information The postholder will be expected to work on any University site and undertake occasional travel away from the University as directed for training or information purposes.
