a project designed to ensure Fairfield House is financially, physically and organisationally sustainable for future generations to enjoy for years to come. About Fairfield House: Fairfield House Bath CIC is set up to preserve and celebrate Emperor Haile Selassie's unique legacy: a personal gift to the city in appreciation of the warm welcome and hospitality he had received from the people of Bath. The organisation works to preserve and develop the life of Fairfield House on a sustainable basis. The Role: You will be responsible for delivering an efficient and effective Facilities Management service for the unique community based at Fairfield House, Bath. You will ensure this property is maintained at the highest possible standard at all times and is compliant with appropriate procedures, legislation and conservation guidelines. Responsibilities Include: Co-ordination of planned, preventative and reactive maintenance and related administration, compliance monitoring and environment management tasks using appropriate software programs. Janitorial services including opening up for community business users and community events and ensuring their contracted needs are met. Promote Health and Safety, Security and general compliance awareness across the property. Other delegated tasks as instructed to support the Operations Manager. What You Will Deliver: You will deliver an efficient and effective service across the property, ensuring high standards are maintained in accordance with Fairfield House policies and procedures. Managing Risk: You will inspire and advocate for a good Health and Safety culture. You will help manage operational risk at Fairfield House, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and Fairfield House procedures. Teamwork: You will work as part of a flexible and customer-focused approach, working collaboratively with colleagues, volunteers and contractors. Using Resources Efficiently: You will be proactive in identifying savings and opportunities to work more efficiently or cost effectively within agreed budgets. Knowledge, Skills & Experience Requirements: Experience in facilities management, supported by relevant vocational experience or professional qualification such as the Institute of Work and Facilities Management – Associate Level 3 certificate or similar. Knowledge of Health & Safety, Emergency Procedures, Fire and Security procedures and relevant Legislation. Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to multitask, prioritise own workloads and work in collaboration with others. Experience in general maintenance and the use of basic tools would be an asset. Must be physically fit enough to use ladders or tower scaffold if required. Good IT skills. Fairfield House uses Google Docs and Google Drive.
