Responsibilities of the department include managing the estates strategy, property maintenance, property management, facilities management, and health, safety, and environmental oversight. We are now recruiting for an experienced Facilities Manager to join our Estates team. Working across our facilities, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our facilities team, including caretaking, cleaning, grounds people, and porters. This is a varied role that not only requires you to ensure the team is providing high-quality services to staff and students but also allows you to implement change for a more efficient and effective working environment. You will have previous experience of working in facilities management, with the ability to lead and change cultures in a diverse workforce. Aside from the opportunity, you will also be eligible for 32 days annual leave (plus bank holidays and university closure days), and enrolled onto our private pension. Successful applicants with evidence of current, continuous membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) or the Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS) will be eligible to continue membership of the scheme - further information can be provided throughout the process.
