About The Role We are looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the management of the Oxford United Training Ground at Horspath Road, Oxford. The Facilities Manager will be responsible for all facilities management, maintenance and improvement, including health and safety arrangements, line management of operational staff, management of sub-contractors and partners including pitch maintenance and care teams and cleaning teams. This role is the key coordinator for all internal and external stakeholders to ensure the facility is maintained in good order, and ensuring all facilities operate in a safe, well-functioning condition. The goal is ensuring our business accommodation is problem-free enabling employees and contractors to work under the best conditions. The role will also be the key coordinator for all external and internal stakeholders for any evening and weekend public activities, and for ensuring that all safe operating practices are maintained and upheld. About The Candidate Key Skills & Experience Essential: Diploma in Facilities Management, Facilities Engineering or similar industry related qualification. Industry recognised health and safety qualification such as NEBOSH with experience of on-site health and safety management and reporting. Project management qualification or high-level experience of facilities project management. Experience in buildings and facilities management on a complex site, ideally a sports training facility. Experience in the principles and practices of business administration. Experience in procurement and contract management. Leadership experience and knowledge of human resource management principles and practices. Experience of working with electrical and mechanical systems. Experience in facilities testing, checking and inspections and the maintenance of relevant records and schedules. Competent in the use of computers and the recording and management of electronic records and schedules. Understanding of technical and engineering operations and facilities management best practices. Personal Attributes: Excellent interpersonal skills with a high degree of personal motivation and strong communication skills. Excellent organisational and leadership skills. Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to problem solve and find appropriate solutions. Excellent decision-making and judgement. High level of adaptability and flexibility considering the ever-changing needs and requirements of the site and the organisation. Self-motivated, able to work under pressure, and able to manage a team in a changing environment.
