We are looking for a Facilities Mechanical Engineer to undertake the following duties on a day-to-day basis:
Key Responsibilities
- Provide maintenance support (Including Installation, planned, preventive and reactive maintenance) in relation to site services, plant/equipment.
- AHU, FCU and mechanical servicing/maintenance, to include pump seals, bearings and alignment.
- Form part of the on-call rota within the Maintenance Team.
- Seasonal shift pattern (some weekends/evenings)
- Prioritisation of work programme to satisfy business needs.
- Ensure maintenance standards and quality of work delivered are to the required level.
- Fault finding, diagnosis and repairs.
- Oversee the conduct of contractors on site, monitoring the implementation and performance of tasks allocated.
- Deliver specialist technical support and services in relation to building plant/equipment.
- Ensure robust application of health, safety and environmental procedures and processes.
- Ensure a professional approach is always delivered with particular emphasis on maintaining confidentiality.
- Provide cover for colleagues during periods of absence.
- Adhere to all Company policies and procedures.
- Any other duties as and when required.
Knowledge/Experience/Skills/Abilities?
- Engineering/Technical qualification (Apprenticeship or NVQ level 3 in a relevant discipline i.e. mechanical/plumbing/HVAC
- AHU, FCU and mechanical servicing/maintenance, to include pump seals, bearings and alignment.
- The candidate should be able to write reports/jobs sheets either manually or electronically
- Experience in Building Services
- Good knowledge and level of competency in other areas of building services (BMS, Electrical)
- Full clean driving licence
