We have an excellent opportunity for a Facilities & Security Manager to join our fantastic team in Scotland on a part-time basis working either 2 or 3 days per week. Working in a job-share capacity, you will have the unique opportunity to contribute your expertise while enjoying a flexible schedule. The Facilities & Security Manager will be primarily based at our facility in Aberdeen Airport, with overall responsibility for the safe, efficient, and secure running of Aberdeen, Inverness and, on the odd occasion, Glasgow bases. This is an integral role within the Scotland region’s operational and compliance structure, encompassing the responsibility of Ground Services Supervisor for the local Ground Handling team in Aberdeen, as well as the upkeep and security of the facilities in both Aberdeen and Inverness sites. This is a physical and hands-on role, which requires a level of autonomy and a proactive approach to resolving issues. Strong communication and seamless handovers with your job share partner will be key to success in this position. Responsibilities: Facilities Management

Support facilities projects as required; including offices moves, building change requirements, refurbishment projects. Be the first point of contact for building and maintenance issues. Plan and co-ordinate third-party contractors to ensure maintenance of the facilities, to assist the company in maintaining properties fit for purpose and in compliance with regulations. Provide/facilitate induction training of new starters and contractors. Proactive management of building faults and continuous improvement. Coordinate emergency repairs as necessary. Producing and compiling RDQ (request for quotes) and continuous due diligence of suppliers. Plant management – general maintenance and repair, equipment maintenance, routine checks. Record and enact facilities requests – from large capital expenditure to small day to day maintenance. Ensure serviceability of all facilities vital systems. Plan work tasks – costs/schedules. Maintain compliance with all necessary standards e.g. electrical inspections etc. Emphasis on effective management of sub-contractors, ensuring KPIs for response/call out times are met. Ensure the continued function, presentation, and legal compliance of facilities. Security Management

Administer company ID pass security system and qualified Authorised Signatory. Ensure compliance with AGS and HIAL airports Aviation Security protocols. Manage the security infrastructure i.e. access control, CCTV, alarms etc and procedures for key and document storage. Conduct internal and support external audits. Ground Handling Management

Supervising and directing Ground handlers on duty during assigned shifts to deliver a safe, efficient, and positive customer experience in accordance with published company procedures and relevant regulations. Ensuring that the correct issue and receipt of aviation grade fuels to aircraft and to ensure that these are correctly recorded. Maintain records and plan training events for Ground Handling personnel in the region, in accordance with the Regional Ground Handling Procedures Manual. Directing aircraft towing activities as required and ensuring that routine and ad hoc apron foreign object inspections are undertaken. Coordinating all operational tasks associated with handling third party aircraft and overseeing the transportation of clients and third parties as required. Comply with the processes, policies and procedures incorporated in the Ground Handling Procedures Manual to handle company and third-party aircraft. Administer the company Audit programme as per schedule incorporated in the Ground Handling Procedures Manual. Skills, Qualifications and Experience required: Essential Experience within a facilities/security management position, with strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance and operations. A passion for service delivery with knowledge of working in a highly regulated industry. Competent with Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Excellent communication skills with a range of audiences, including management. Ability to work independently without supervision. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Flexibility – ‘can-do’ attitude required to cover a variety of tasks. Demonstrates initiative and always behaves professionally. Highly organised and able to prioritise. Willingness to travel to Aberdeen and Inverness facility as required with overnight stays when obligatory. Advantageous Previous experience in facilities management within the Aviation sector.
