Factory General Manager

(known internally as

Senior Operations Manager ) to create a culture to deliver, empower and optimise performance across our Skelmersdale Site. The successful candidate will provide effective leadership across the day-to-day production operations and be responsible for the site's Muller Excellence strategy. Key Responsibilities

Develops the site operations vision in line with business strategy (1 year & 3 year). Leads a continuous improvement culture that supports the implementation of the vision. Drives site KPIs to create best in class operations. Develops, coaches, and mentors team (champions 9 box models & site succession planning). Ensures clear accountabilities and responsibilities are in place to deliver site strategy. Ensures adequate resources are available to deliver the strategy in line with business goals and targets. Drives quality compliance and improvement to meet business targets. Ensures effective systems (including PMS) and resources are in place to deliver Health, Safety, and Environment compliance and improvement to meet business targets. Reliable daily attainment of production plan and project management. Ensures company policies and standards are implemented effectively and efficiently. Effective cost management and cost competitiveness. Customer standards in collaboration with the Technical Manager. Supports the creation of the annual site budget in line with company processes and procedures. Develops an ongoing cost competitive improvement plan in line with the Operations vision and business requirements (CIC), including capital investment (delivers minor projects and supports major projects). Key Skills and Experience

Experience of working within a high volume, complex manufacturing environment. Effective problem-solving skills and ability to work under own initiative in a high-speed environment. Knowledge of liquid filling & processing. Experience of Lean/TPM/World Class Manufacturing. Significant experience in leading and developing a team. Experience in project management including budgets. Knowledge of supply chain functions, including warehousing & planning (desired). Knowledge of BRC & Tesco PIU standards (desired). Knowledge of quality standards and the effect of incidents on quality. Effective team worker, influencer, and communicator. High in enthusiasm & passion. Benefits
