Factory Warehouse Manager

to join our Operations team in Welwyn Garden City. Purpose of the Role: Managing a team, you will be responsible for all factory warehouse operational activities. This role requires someone with experience, self-motivation, and ambition to make significant changes and improve operational performance to meet the required standards for this growing organization. You will manage the WGC Factory Warehouse operational activities in a manner that adds value, ensuring that the site key operational performance objectives are met. You will provide direction and leadership, ensuring the WGC Warehouse achieves productivity, quality, financial, and EHS targets. You will manage professionally and positively to identify and meet the needs of both Sika and external customers, setting high service standards and delivering continuous improvement, while working with the WGC Production team to improve warehouse operations, production efficiencies, and comply with all site processes and procedures. You will also manage absence, conduct, training, and enhance the capability of the Warehouse Operatives. The Opportunity: Manage warehouse operational activities, ensuring KPIs are met and functions are completed on time and according to budget, quality, and factory requirements. Provide direction and leadership to the warehouse team, ensuring achievement of productivity, quality, and financial targets. Commit to improving and maintaining Health and Safety standards, challenging poor behavior and achieving best practice. Monitor procedures and processes for the receipt, storage, packing, picking, and dispatch of products, maintaining written procedures for all processes in line with company and regulatory standards. Manage labor and resources efficiently, producing a daily resource plan and a training matrix for the warehouse team. Ensure that customer orders are managed efficiently and accurately. Ensure Safe Systems of work are adhered to and SOPs are followed, maintaining appropriate standards of professional behavior. Champion continuous improvement, working in line with 5S principles. Interface and communicate effectively with work colleagues and transport partners. Work with the WGC Production team to improve warehouse operations, production efficiencies, and comply with all site processes and procedures.
