Position Title: Falcon Student Worker - $9.50/hour & a free meal w/every shift Position Type: Student Number of Open Positions: Multiple Department: Dining Services - The Falcon (3030) Campus: Main Campus (Grantham) Work Period: 10 hours per week Duration of Appointment: Fall, Spring Work Schedule: Mon thru Fri (NO WEEKENDS) Shift at various times between 6:30am to 4pm About 8 to 10 hours a week Position Description Position Summary:
Students will work at assigned stations to produce and serve menu items in a timely and attractive manner. Experience Required:
Food Service or Catering background is helpful. Skills, Characteristics Required for Position:
Positive attitude, self-motivated, flexible, able to take direction, work well with others, work independently of supervision, and have excellent customer service and communication skills. Dress Code Requirements:
Clean and neat appearance at all times. Uniform: jeans, black shirt, closed toe shoes with socks, and hat with nametag on it. Hair must be tied back if long enough to touch shoulders. Only studs for ear piercings. No sweatpants, shorts, capris, open toe or heeled shoes, hoops/dangling earrings, facial piercings, necklaces, bracelets, or other jewelry. Special Working Conditions:
Must be able to lift 50 lbs using proper lifting technique. Must be able to work days, evenings, and weekends. Must be able to perform all essential job functions, which require prolonged standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, and walking on hard surfaces. Background Check Required:
No Primary Duties: Providing meals to our guests. Present and serve menu items in a timely and attractive manner. Interact with customers and other team members with a friendly and welcoming attitude. Keep all stations/areas stocked and clean. Aid coworkers at other stations as much as possible if your station/area is slow. Stay occupied by stocking, cleaning, or prepping in the kitchen. Maintain consistent & reliable attendance. Secondary Duties: Cleaning equipment and facilities as directed. Other duties as assigned.
