A leading Canterbury law firm is on the hunt for a talented and motivated Legal Assistant to join their Family Law team based in the CBD. This role is initially offered on a fixed-term basis, but there is potential for it to become permanent for the right person! About the Role As a key member of the administrative team, you will provide direct support to multiple authors across a variety of high-profile cases, while managing the team's busy schedule. You will assist several authors with a range of family & dispute matters, with a focus on relationship property, family law, and contentious trust and estate cases. Your role will involve interacting with the firm's portfolio of high-profile clients to ensure the efficient running of their practice. Your key responsibilities will include: Managing diaries and scheduling appointments Booking travel arrangements Organising meeting rooms and mediations Liaising with clients and third parties Assisting with end-of-month billing and preparing and organising documentation Managing files and supporting the team with general workflow and client management You will play a vital role in assisting the partners and team, ensuring everything operates smoothly and efficiently. About You: This role will suit someone who is eager to specialise their legal administrative experience to-date amongst a high-performing team in the family & disputes space. Although experienced candidates are preferred, other suitable applicants may come from a GP, commercial, or litigation background. Minimum Requirements:

1 + years of NZ experience in a practicing firm is essential for your application to be considered for this role.
