My client is a leading Legal 500 law firm who are looking for a Legal Secretary to join their Family Department. This role will be to provide secretarial support to fee earners. You will be supporting with matters relating to Divorce, Private Children and Finance matters.

Duties will include:

  • Liaising with clients face to face and assisting via telephone and email.
  • Make appointments, arrange meetings and to maintain an up to date diary for the fee earners.
  • Preparation of documents such as Form E’s, Form A’s, Form C’s, Form D’s, Divorce petitions, Separation agreements and Pre-nuptial agreements.
  • Managing the diaries of fee earners within the team.
  • Audio typing using a digital dictation system.
  • Updating trial bundles.
  • Provide support to other secretaries as required.
  • General file related administration.

Desired skills and experience:

  • At least 2 years’ experience as a legal secretary within the Family department.
  • Excellent speed typing skills. – You will be tested at interview stage.
  • IT literate – Microsoft Word / Excel / Outlook / Digital Audio software / Case Management.

What they offer:

  • Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm.
  • Salary depending on experience £ £25,000 - £28,000.
  • 5% Pension.
  • Health care cash plan.
