About the Role: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Family Liaison Officer. This vital role involves building strong relationships with families, supporting them to overcome challenges, and ensuring the well-being and success of our students. Key Responsibilities: Act as the main point of contact between the school and families, fostering positive and supportive relationships. Provide advice, guidance, and practical support to families facing difficulties, including attendance, behaviour, and emotional challenges. Work closely with staff to identify students and families requiring additional support and implement tailored action plans. Collaborate with external agencies and services to ensure families have access to the resources they need. Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality in all matters. Promote parental engagement in school life, organising workshops, meetings, and events to strengthen the home-school partnership. Requirements: Experience in a similar role, social work, or family support. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with families and colleagues. Empathy, resilience, and a solution-focused approach. Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and the ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism.
