Join our Saskatchewan Health Authority team of 3 full-time physicians and 3 full-time nurse practitioners providing excellent care to our Northeast 6 network. The scope of practice includes 2-3 days weekly providing services in Duck Lake, Beardy’s & Okemansis Cree Nation, as well as, Wakaw. On a rotational basis, extended hour clinics in Wakaw and on-call, as well as, Itinerant LTC rounding. The Town of Duck Lake is located 90 km north of Saskatoon and 44 km south of Prince Albert on Highway 11. Beardy’s & Okemasis’ Cree Nation is located 12 km west of the community of Duck Lake and One Arrow is located 50 km southeast. This area is rich in history with historical sites of Fort Carlton, Batoche, and the St. Laurent Shrine all located close by. This position will have collaborative practice with physicians and NPs within the Duck Lake, Wakaw, and Cudworth communities. The Wakaw-Cudworth area of 3,000 is comprised of thriving communities and is centrally located in the province with both Saskatoon and Prince Albert less than an hour away. In the summer months, the area’s population swells with vacationers. The area boasts K-12 schools, various seasonal and year-round recreational activities, a Primary Health Centre, Collaborative Emergency Centre (CEC), 46-bed Long Term Care facility in Wakaw, 32-bed Long Term Care facility in Cudworth, ambulance, therapies, mental health, home care, addictions, and public health services.
