Due to growth, we are looking to hire an additional Family Solicitor for our Family & Matrimonial department, to support our regional and national clients, including high-net-worth individuals.

The Family Solicitor will manage a caseload of complex fee-earning matters whilst growing and developing the business through active involvement in business development strategies in conjunction with marketing and business development teams.

We are ideally looking for candidates with 2-4 PQE however applicants outside of this will be considered.

Reporting directly to the Head of Family & Matrimonial and based at our offices in Pride Park in Derby 36.25 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a varied caseload of complex matters that will include:

Drafting, negotiating, and advising on pre and post marital agreements.

Matrimonial finance.

Shareholding issues and pension disputes.

Private law children disputes.

Manage your own caseload and work independently.

Conducting your own files through to conclusion.

Use the Team’s case management system effectively.

Work to a consistently high standard and be self-motivated.

Be actively involved in marketing and business development activities.

Provide ongoing technical support on matters for more junior fee-earners.

Ensure personal legal knowledge is kept up to date and new advancements are communicated to the wider team.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

You will:

Ideally 2-4 years plus PQE exclusively in the field of Family Law.

Possess excellent client care and communication skills.

Have a sound knowledge of IT systems and processes, such as the Microsoft suite.

Be a hard-working and highly-motivated individual with the ability to work cohesively as part of a team.

Disclosure will be required in the event that a position is offered.
