Service Care Legal are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading law firm in East London who are seeking a Family Solicitor to join their highly reputable team. The role will solely involve working on Legal Aid Domestic Violence matters. Further details below: ROLE:

Family Solicitor (Legal Aid Domestic Violence) LOCATION:

East London SALARY:

£40,000 to £55,000 About the Role: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Legal Aid Domestic Violence Solicitor to join our team. This role involves providing expert legal advice and representation to clients experiencing domestic violence, focusing on securing their safety and legal rights. The successful candidate will manage a caseload of Legal Aid-funded cases, including obtaining protective injunctions and providing guidance on family law matters related to domestic violence. Key Responsibilities: Client Representation:

Provide legal advice and representation to clients in domestic violence cases, including obtaining non-molestation orders, occupation orders, and other protective injunctions. Case Management:

Handle a varied caseload of Legal Aid-funded cases, ensuring compliance with Legal Aid Agency requirements. Court Proceedings:

Prepare and represent clients in court, advocating effectively on their behalf. Client Support:

Offer compassionate support to clients, understanding the sensitive nature of domestic violence cases and maintaining confidentiality at all times. Legal Documentation:

Draft necessary legal documents, including witness statements, applications, and orders. Liaison:

Work closely with external agencies, such as police, social services, and support organizations, to coordinate comprehensive support for clients. Legal Updates:

Stay informed about changes in domestic violence law and Legal Aid regulations, ensuring that all advice is up-to-date and compliant. Client Advocacy:

Actively participate in awareness and advocacy efforts related to domestic violence and legal aid issues. Key Requirements: Qualifications:

Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales with a current Practising Certificate. Experience:

Minimum of 2 years' experience in family law, with a focus on domestic violence cases. Legal Aid Knowledge:

In-depth understanding of Legal Aid procedures and requirements. Advocacy Skills:

Strong advocacy skills, with experience representing clients in court. Communication:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal matters clearly and sensitively. Client Care:

Empathy and the ability to handle emotionally charged situations with professionalism. Organisational Skills:
