Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Family Solicitor to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family law and possess excellent communication, IT, and organisational skills. This role involves providing legal advice and representation to clients in matters related to family law, including divorce, child custody, and financial settlements. The Family Solicitor will play a crucial role in supporting clients through challenging times while ensuring their rights and interests are protected.

Responsibilities

Provide expert legal advice on a range of family law issues, including divorce, separation, child custody, and financial disputes.

Represent clients in court proceedings and negotiations with opposing parties.

Prepare legal documents such as petitions, agreements, and court submissions.

Conduct thorough research to support case preparation and strategy development.

Maintain accurate records of client interactions and case progress using IT systems.

Communicate effectively with clients to keep them informed about their cases and provide updates on developments.

Collaborate with other professionals, such as social workers or financial advisors, to ensure comprehensive support for clients.

Attend relevant training sessions to stay updated on changes in family law legislation and best practices.

Requirements

Qualified solicitor with a valid practising certificate in family law.

Strong understanding of family law principles and procedures.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly to clients.

Proficient IT skills for managing case files and documentation efficiently.

Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Empathetic approach towards clients facing emotional challenges during legal proceedings.

Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential for the right candidate who demonstrates potential and enthusiasm for family law practice.
