Position Summary:

A new position for a Fasteners Engineer to enhance a reputable company's service to their automotive customers with in-depth fastener knowledge. This role will have two key components: reactive support for existing customers and proactive development of new fastener products.

Key Responsibilities: Reactive Support: Provide expert support to existing customers, addressing their fastener-related requirements and offering innovative solutions. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to fastener performance and application. Conduct testing and analysis to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of fasteners for various applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to develop and implement effective fastening solutions. Attend ad-hoc meetings with customers to discuss orders and provide solutions. Proactive Development: Design and develop new fasteners to expand the company’s product offerings. Research and analyse industry trends, materials, and technologies to create advanced fastening solutions. Interpret and create technical drawings, specifications, and documentation for new fastener designs. Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to introduce and promote new fastener products. Stay up to date with industry standards, regulations, and advancements in fastener technology. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. Experience in fastener engineering or a related field. Strong knowledge of fastener types, materials, and applications. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and other engineering tools. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Solution-oriented, with a strong attention to detail and an innovative mindset.
