Female Personal Care Assistant for a lady in the Stanley area £12 per hour - Stanley - DH9
Female Personal Care Assistant required: I am looking for a caring and empathetic person to become my Personal Care Assistant. You will work 18 hours a week. Days and times can be negotiated to work around my family's commitments. Wage rate will be £12 per hour. I’m a 29-year-old plus-size woman with chronic pain and other ailments which greatly affect my mobility. I am looking to employ a PA to enable me to live comfortably and safely with my family. I am married and have a 4-year-old son with additional needs, which you must be understanding and supportive of. You must also be good with children as my child will be here at all times. I also have a dog and two cats, so you must be okay with animals and not have pet allergies. Experience of care and/or chronic pain and mobility issues is essential. Must be comfortable pushing a plus-size person in a manual wheelchair and folding a wheelchair up and putting it into and taking it out of a car boot independently. I have four key values that I look for in PAs: Reliable and trustworthy Knowing when it’s appropriate to step in and help Maintaining a balance between caring and supporting A willingness to learn If you can empower, encourage, and respect my right to make my own decisions about how I want to be cared for, and are willing to learn new skills, I’d like to hear from you! Daily tasks will include helping me to get washed and dressed, shopping, assisting with household tasks, and supporting me to access the community. A DBS will be required, to be paid for via employer. Services: Personal Care Social + Leisure activities Schedule, Pay & Hours: Time: Mor, Aft, Eve ONA = Overnight Awake / ONS = Overnight Sleep
