The ideal applicant will:
Be a friendly, female care assistant Have a kind, caring, and compassionate nature Be experienced supporting children with complex health needs Be bright, bubbly, and energetic Be able to build a strong working relationship with both the child and her family
Tasks will include:
Medication administration including nebulizer Preparing and feeding via gastronomy/PEG - training will be provided Personal care – nappy changing, bathing Social activities – reading stories, visiting sensory rooms/venues, accessing the outdoors using her pediatric buggy, singing, and most of all having fun while engaging with her
Hours Breakdown:
4 hours per week to be used evening OR weekend Additional 4 hours per week during all school holidays Flexibility is required from the successful applicant as the hours are not on a set day or time but based on family commitments.
A full enhanced disclosure and barring certificate for Children’s workforce is required prior to commencement of employment. The full cost will be met by the employer.
Where applicable, all training will be delivered via the local authority Learning Together platform. This will include medication administration, moving and handling, and children’s safeguarding as a minimum. Training is conducted via online applications, demonstrations on the job, and face-to-face training as required.
