Creative Support is looking for a warm and caring Relief Extra Care Support Worker to join our Extra Care service in Orpington, London. At this service, we provide quality care and support to a number of older residents, helping and encouraging them to lead a fulfilling and enriched life. Extra Care housing enables older people to live as independently as possible in a friendly, inclusive and safe environment whilst receiving the care and support they need. We want our service users to lead active and positive lives and to be supported to enjoy physical and mental wellbeing. To achieve this, we need responsible, compassionate individuals who can deliver respectful personal care and person-centered support. Your role will include: Providing respectful personal care and administering medication Encouraging residents to engage in a range of exciting social activities both within and outside the home Developing warm and trusting relationships with service users enabling them to enjoy their time at the service to the fullest Engaging positively with service users and their families and building trusting relationships Working flexibly according to the needs of the service A minimum of twelve months’ experience is essential.

While a relevant professional qualification is desirable, it’s crucial that you are warm and able to work in a person-centred manner. As a Creative Support Bank Staff member, you’ll have access to our free app, which allows you to pick up shifts anywhere in the country and provides information on services and shifts, as well as directions.
