We are looking for an FHS Advisor to join Heathrow. This will be working hybrid, 3 days onsite and 2 days remote. Heathrow's ambition is to set the standard for airport safety. A standard that will ensure that everyone that works at or travels through Heathrow returns home or gets to their destination safe and well. As we head into the H8 Regulatory period, this will be an exciting time to be part of the Fire, Health, Safety and Wellbeing (FHS&W) Team. As the FHS&W Advisor - Infrastructure Solutions, you will play a crucial role in providing support, advice and initiatives that will continue to improve the safety culture within Infrastructure Solutions. This will be even more important as we strengthen relationships with existing partners and build relationships with new ones. Reporting to the FHS&W Business Partner - Infrastructure, you will work closely with your peers in the FHS&W Team to share learning and good practice and ensure that their strategic objectives are aligned and delivered. You will be expected to develop and maintain effective professional relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including designers, construction partners and their supply chain, Heathrow Project Managers and other functions within Heathrow that have a role in safely delivering and maintaining our assets. On occasion, you may be required to support other BUs within the FHS&W Team as the needs of the Business change. As you develop, a good understanding of Heathrow's plan for delivering the current H7 capital plan will be vital to ensure that the FHS&W risks are managed in the most effective way. To ensure our construction partners are complying with their duties under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, your role will be to support the FHS&W Business Partner in carrying out assurance activities to bring confidence to the accountable directors that risk is being managed so far as is reasonably practicable. Principal Accountabilities

Gain a good understanding of the projects that will be delivered during the H7 Regulatory period and how that translates to health and safety. Gain a good understanding of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 and the duties placed upon Heathrow and those we appoint to carry out construction work. Work with FHS&W team to ensure Heathrow's FHS&W standards are developed, delivered and adopted by Infrastructure Solutions where required. Further build upon Infrastructure's safety culture; deliver health and safety training and initiatives, continue to promote a 'Just Culture' in line with Infrastructure Solutions being a values led, learning function. Organise and attend site visits (occasionally nights), build relationships with a variety of stakeholders i.e. from Directors to site operatives. Lead and support incident investigations in a collaborative way that enables root cause to be determined and the learning shared across functions. Support collaborative working between Infrastructure Solutions and other departments (e.g. Engineering, Operations) to ensure that more complex safety issues are managed appropriately. Provide health and safety advice to Project Managers and peers within supplier partners and FHS&W teams. Support the development and implementation of Safety Improvement Plans. Support the development of others through coaching and mentoring. Develop, maintain and improve your own FHS&W competencies. Ensure Infrastructure Solutions understands how to report close calls and incidents. Understand how the First Alert, investigation and reporting process can drive FHS&W improvements to support the Infrastructure business. Liaise with the Health and Safety Executive and other Regulators if required. Provide the FHS&W Business Partner - Infrastructure Solutions and the wider FHS&W team with updates on FHS&W performance. Set and manage objectives that align with the FHSW Team and Infrastructure Solutions. Qualifications and Experience

Safety professional with experience in a broad range of functions e.g. construction, transport, engineering etc. NEBOSH General Certificate in Construction (or equivalent) Working towards National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent) Technical member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) Good communication and influencing skills and stakeholder management Good analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present data in a meaningful way Good standard of written work and report writing Good understanding of project management processes
