Field Applications Engineer We are seeking a customer-facing technical professional who will support customer and partner engagements, ensure pre-sales product fit, and help deliver post-sale customization. Our mission is to create a more sustainable planet while increasing the profitability of our customers. RESPONSIBILITIES

Act as lead technical resource on customer and partner engagements. Collaborate with customers and sales teams to define customer needs, address application fit challenges, and develop tailored solutions. Write detailed specifications for product extensions and process automation to meet unique customer requirements. Design and develop custom flows in JSONata. Collaborate with datacenter operators and stakeholders to understand system architecture, performance goals, and data requirements. Analyze operational data and fit it into analytical models to identify trends, optimize performance, and predict potential issues. Maintain and update custom workflows to ensure ongoing functionality and alignment with customer needs. Provide feedback and make recommendations to enhance Vigilent solutions based on customer insights. Take ownership of engineered solutions, ensuring their quality, scalability, and alignment with business objectives. REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex technologies to both technical and non-technical audiences. Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or JavaScript. 2+ years' experience in a customer-facing technical environment. Dependable, reliable, self-starter, collaborative, flexible, organized, motivated. Technical degree, preferably Mechanical Engineering. DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Experience in data centers or other mission-critical facilities. Experience with building automation systems, HVAC design and construction, or energy efficiency consulting. Experience in data collection, processing, and modeling, preferably in datacenter environments or similar technical domains. Experience with GraphQL for crafting efficient queries and leveraging JSONata for dynamic data transformation and workflow development. Application integration experience, including with the BACnet and/or Modbus protocols. Working knowledge of Internet technologies (IT networking, Remote Access Technology, IP routing, VMware implementation, cloud services).
