line support and help deliver projects onsite at client-partner sites. Under supervision, you will be trained to carry out: Software installations: Windows Server, Linux, and Windows Desktop versions Hardware installations and racking: servers, thin clients, storage devices, and switches Initial troubleshooting for hardware failure PC/laptop hardware support PC/laptop rollouts Office move projects Installation, termination, testing, and labelling of cross connects in Data Centre or other facilities Your duties and responsibilities will include: Configuration of desktop/server hardware installation and builds for delivery to client-partner environments. Working in data centres to install new racks, servers, storage, and network devices. Repairing or troubleshooting faulty equipment, installing and configuring hardware and software. Resolving first line user support requests onsite and over the phone. Travelling to client sites across England for onsite presence and project work. Playing an active role in the team, remaining flexible to support others during busy periods, and being prepared for long periods away from home. Working as part of a team to deliver projects. Qualifications: 5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths) Skills Required: Good hardware knowledge – PCs, laptops, servers, and printers. Good understanding of Windows and MAC operating systems, and mobile devices. Use infrastructure management tools to automate the provisioning, testing, deployment, and monitoring of infrastructure components.
