The Telecoms Engineer is responsible for assisting with the remote commissioning, and completion of call testing/integration activities to support project delivery.
Key Tasks:
Assist with the remote commissioning activities on site as per assigned project(s).
Complete site call testing/integration activities in accordance with project process and requirements.
Perform all duties safely and to industry best practice.
Assist with the completion and submission of project reports/paperwork.
Receive and check issued job paperwork from the office.
Understand and adhere to company policies and processes.
Maintain any company issued vehicles and equipment with respect and to a high standard, reporting all issues with issued vehicle and equipment in a timely manner to the appropriate persons.
Identify any training requirements where relevant.
Assist support staff where required.
Perform non-standard works as required.
Act as 3rd man on sites where necessary.
Process the return of decommissioned equipment to company stores.
Provide ad-hoc reports on technical and/or field issues as necessary.
Any other duties deemed appropriate by the business.
Qualifications and Experience:
No formal qualifications required.
Driving licence & own transport required.
IT qualification an advantage.
Must show ability and willingness to work at height (i.e. on rooftops).
Willing to travel & work away from home/overnight during the week (UK Based).
Lone working.
A previous role in IT/electronics or communications will be beneficial.
RF, rooftop access, and manual handling qualifications are an advantage. Training will be provided.
