Summary Freedom Network Services are currently recruiting for an Assistant Security & Fire Engineer to support our contracts based in Yorkshire and the North East.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic engineer who is looking to learn and train within the security & fire areas of our trade. This in turn will open up opportunities and career path for the future within the business.

This person will be mobile throughout the working week, applying their skills and knowledge completing installation and maintenance works daily.

Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:

Be expected to travel independently between sites Be prepared to undertake works on sites within the utility DNO, commercial and industrial sectors. Undertake installation as part of a team, delivering security & fire project for our clients. Demonstrate daily effective servicing, fault diagnosis of security & fire equipment to current standards. Undertake fault repair works on systems to be found in fault or to be defective. Provide clear, concise & accurate reports of work carried out, including photographic documentation. What we’re looking for:

Previously background of working as a security engineer within the commercial or industrial sector, undertaking routine repairs & maintenance or have been as part of an installation team. Ideally all candidates should have undertaken/undertaking an apprenticeship. Understanding of Risk Assessment, Method Statement, approval process and associated Work Permits. Experience in fault finding, carrying out PPMs. Have some knowledge surrounding basic Intruder, Access Control, Fire alarm and CCTV systems. Ability to install and commission above systems mentioned.
