Overview:
First Military Recruitment is working in partnership with our reputable client who is seeking a Field Operations Technician to join their repairs team in Croydon.
As part of a heating maintenance team, the successful candidate will be expected to support a team of repairs and/or maintenance operatives who provide services in commercial plant rooms and dwellings, including heating installations and appliances in client properties. You will be able to assist and advise the area team on work progress, monitor the operatives' performance, and produce improvement plans where required, provide technical support, and identify any training needs within the team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Support and monitor a team of operatives who service, repair, maintain, and install gas and heating plant and appliances in buildings, properties, and dwellings, working in accordance with manufacturer's instruction and guidance. Assist and advise members of the area team on work progress, servicing, general repair/maintenance of breakdowns of plant and associated equipment, including appliances and heating systems of client premises. Deliver all PPM and cyclical maintenance programmes, ensuring all records are updated within the NAV system and engineers' PDAs. Monitor engineer's performances and their time management through the management information available, engineer KPIs, parts usage and management, resource and labour costs including managing top-up hours and advising the FOM on resource planning. Survey and estimate any project works, and maintain the associated administration processes. Manage all engineers in the team through management information and KPIs to maximise their performance.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
Skills & Experience:
Essential: ACS qualifications - minimum of CCN1, CEN1, CENWAT & CKR1 CPA1. IOSH 1-day 'Working Safely' Training Certificate (or equivalent). Experience of working in a multi-sited company. Experience in High Volume High pressure environments. Minimum 3 years' experience. Full driving licence.
Desirable: Any qualification or certificate of health and safety training achievement, e.g. Working at Height, Manual Handling, First Aid (3-Day), etc. Gas Safety. Significant experience in a customer service type role, dealing directly with the public.
