field sales manager is required for our market-leading construction engineering client to develop sales within the London region.

Apply now! The purpose of this role is to develop new and existing sales of plant equipment into key accounts within the South of England, mainly South London areas. This field sales role would suit an experienced sales manager with good experience of selling heavy construction plant equipment or good plant hire / plant rental sales experience, looking for the next challenge in their business development career. This field sales role is a remote position covering the South London regions, so ideally you will be based in the M25 areas such as Woking, Guildford, Reading, Bracknell, Slough, Maidenhead, Watford, Windsor, Epsom, Redhill, Surrey, around the M25 areas as you will be travelling 4 out of 5 days per week to client sites. You are expected to go to the offices near Aylesbury one day per week for sales meetings, reports, lead generation, and general paperwork/customer visit follow-ups. This role would suit someone based near the South West London region M25 area and willing and able to travel. You must have a full clean driving licence. The ideal construction sales candidate will have the following key skills and experiences: Essential: Good field sales and business development experience within the construction plant, hire plant, and plant rental industries. Experience in selling technical products such as construction machinery, heavy plant hire machinery, heavy vehicle hire, and material handling equipment. Excellent time management, organisation, and planning skills. A full driving licence and ability to travel extensively in this role. Excellent communication and rapport-building skills. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build new relationships with clients, develop existing accounts, identify new opportunities, and follow up leads. Desirable: Field sales/business development experience within the construction plant industries such as powered access equipment, access platforms, lifting operations, cranes, scissor lifts, MHE, FLT, etc. A full job description will be discussed and submitted to suitable construction sales candidates upon application.
