About the Company - Blackfield Associates are partnered with an international biotech company, who due to ever-growing services, have a requirement for a Field Service Engineer to join the Biomedical Field service team to cover the Dartford/ London region on a permanent basis.


About the Role - As Field Service Engineer, you will:


  • Attend customer site to troubleshoot and repair any reported equipment faults, with response-time as defined within service agreements
  • Complete all preventative maintenance work on Immunoassay analyser equipment or laboratory equipment
  • Install any upgrades necessary to maintain Instrument performance, safety, and reliability in accordance with defined deadlines.
  • Provide first level engineering support for installation and decommissioning of instruments.
  • Provide support for the interfacing of instruments to laboratory computer systems.


Responsibilities - To be considered for the role of Field Service Engineer, you will have the following experience:


  • Previous experience working with Immunoassay / Molecular Diagnostic/ biomedical equipment is essential. This role is not suitable for beginners or those who have not worked with this type of equipment previously
  • Must have Minimum of 2 years previous experience as a field based service engineer in a clinical/ medical / laboratory environment
  • Demonstrable technical aptitude/ ability for working with Liquid handling/ robotic laboratory equipment
  • Possibly considered: complex electro-mechanical equipment gained in a highly regulated industry would be considered
  • Must hold a valid driving licence
  • Located in Dartford or South of the river. You Must be located within One hour of Dartford- all applications outside this range or north of the crossing will not be considered.


This is a permanent position, with no ability to sponsor. Looking for January 2025 starters.

Pay range and compensation package - Permanent position, with a salary of £47,000 per annum, plus package and benefits.
