Our client is a market-leading original equipment manufacturer who specializes in CNC machinery, and due to their continued success, Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Field Service Engineer. The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for maintenance, service, repair, and installation of machinery throughout the UK. The Role:

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for the installation, service maintenance, and repair work on a range of machinery including circular saws, band saws, CNC routers, and punch machinery. Duties will include but are not limited to the following: Mechanical maintenance activities will involve the removal and replacement of broken and worn component parts such as chains, sprockets, linear bearings, and ball screws. Fault finding and repair work on hydraulics and some pneumatics. Electrical maintenance work will include fault finding and repair on 3-phase motors, servos, and 24v circuits (ability to read electrical schematics/drawings is essential). PLC work. Assist with machine installation & commissioning. Candidates:

We are seeking applicants who have good electrical and/or mechanical engineering skills. Ideally, you will have at least three years of previous maintenance experience, preferably with excellent knowledge and understanding of CNC machinery. You will be a multi-skilled maintenance engineer with excellent 3-phase electrical fault finding and repair skills. You will be competent with PLC fault finding and repair/interrogation. This is a field engineer role, and you will be prepared to stay away from home for up to 3-4 nights per week if required. Hours of Work:

Monday to Friday (days) 40-hour week + OT. Rewards:

Excellent basic salary £40K-£42K + OT (OTE £50K+). 'Door to door' pay. Company Car. 33 days annual leave. Pension.
