c 45k - 50k neg dep exp + vehicle + benefits Our client is a leading developer and asset manager of utility scale energy storage solutions. As a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth as the UK strives to achieve net zero emission levels, they are seeking to recruit a number of multi-skilled field service engineer professionals to undertake PPM and reactive breakdown repair and commissioning activities on a range of energy storage units at BESS sites throughout the UK. Reporting to the OM Manager, the successful candidates will be tasked with: Undertaking fault finding, diagnosis, and repair duties. Performing PPM and continuous improvement exercises on a range of equipment. Maintaining Energy Storage Systems to a high standard by carrying out regular inspection and maintenance. Performing annual capacity tests, troubleshooting, and reactive maintenance as needed. Implementing system software and firmware upgrades when required. Overseeing all aspects of operation performance monitoring and data assessment. Providing telephone technical support and remote diagnostics to customers. Attending BESS sites for repairs when remote diagnostics fail. Other duties will include: Managing spare parts and vehicle inventory. Working safely and ensuring compliance with local safety regulations and standards (e.g., BS7671). Conducting risk assessments and implementing safety measures. Keeping up to date with administrative duties such as timesheets, daily vehicle checks, and providing accurate daily job reports. Assisting with in-house system engineering group in product development and/or project work. Providing suggestions based on field experience to improve the product portfolio. The successful candidates will be qualified to at least C&G2391 Inspection and Test / HNC level or above in a relevant electrical/electro-mechanical discipline and demonstrate at least 3 years' experience in a multi-skilled maintenance or service capacity. Good IT skills (MS Suite) and an understanding of networking and remote desktop connections are essential. A full UK driving licence is also required due to travel to different sites around the UK, which may involve overnight stays or international travel. Previous knowledge and experience of working on BESS sites will be advantageous, as will a working knowledge of HV/LV power electronics including inverters, converters, transformers, and previous HVAC training and F-Gas qualifications (training can be provided).
