Key duties and responsibilities of the Field Service Engineer: Position will be covering patch of GL, BS and SN postcodes Repairing and maintaining machines on customers sites as required to ensure conformance with manufacturer s specification Attending breakdowns and fault finding on machines Accurately completing all relevant paperwork daily on a phone or tablet Submitting daily timesheets and job cards Accurately ordering your parts and working closely with the parts department Working closely with the service supervisor The ideal Field Service Engineer candidate will have: Relevant qualifications e.g. City and Guild, NVQ or SVQ in Construction Plant / HGV / Light Vehicle etc (essential)Experience in construction plant, diesel engines, electrics, hydraulics, transmissions, and fault finding using electronic diagnostic equipment The ability to prioritise tasks and work well in a busy environment Great customer service skills and the ability to build rapport with our customers Good IT skills A flexible and positive outlook with an outgoing approach to work In return you will receive: 40-hour basic working week and competitive overtime rates 25 days annual leave, increasing with length of service Company van Laptop, phone, uniform and specialist tools
