This is an ideal opportunity for Vehicle Technicians looking to transition into a new industry in a local field-based role, offering comprehensive on-the-job training, an extensive benefits package, and progression routes. The role is suitable for engineers from any background in plant, cars, forklifts, HGV, agricultural, or similar equipment. You need to demonstrate mechanical service and repair skills, ideally with engine diagnostic and some basic electrical skills. No minimum qualification is required for this role. As part of the team, you'll be responsible for carrying out planned maintenance and breakdown coverage on a range of forklifts and associated equipment. There is no requirement for overnight stays or extensive travel. Overtime is available, primarily during weekdays rather than weekends. The Field Service Engineer Role in Brief: Carry out PPM and breakdown on materials handling machinery on a field service engineering basis Provide reactive breakdown coverage within the allocated geographical area Complete comprehensive training to become fully competent on all machinery and equipment Spares placed in van overnight The Person Required: Experience with plant, forklifts, HGV, agricultural or similar equipment; automotive technicians/motor trade will also be suitable Engine diagnostics and some basic electrical skills
