Due to continued growth, our client is a specialised Engineering manufacturing company who are currently looking for a Field Service Engineer.
Purpose of Role - Field Service Engineer
To complete Electrical, Control and Instrumentation site-based inspections, and perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on installed systems to ensure optimal functionality and reliability. Diagnose technical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions. Provide remote and on-site technical support to customers, addressing inquiries, troubleshooting problems, and offering timely solutions. Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex technical issues. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by delivering exceptional service and acting as a reliable service engineer. Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of service visits, technical issues, resolutions, and customer interactions.
Candidate requirements - Field Service Engineer Run own diary and customer base, including travel and accommodation arrangements to suit. Proficiency in reading technical drawings, schematics, and manuals. Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and troubleshoot complex technical systems. Calm, diplomatic personality; sometimes there is pressure to get equipment working quickly. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications/Experience - Field Service Engineer HNC (or Equivalent experience) Background in Controls and Instrumentation CompEx trained Knowledge or experience of ATEX environments C&G 2330 (or 2365) Parts 2 and 3
