About the Role: As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing first class on-site engineering support for our client s machinery - conducting regular service, planned maintenance, upgrades, commissioning new installations and attending breakdowns of high-tech manufacturing equipment. Your role will involve working on both electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring that machinery run smoothly and efficiently. You ll be the expert our client s UK and international clients rely on for troubleshooting and technical support. Key Responsibilities: Provide on-site technical support for electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring equipment is running at optimum performance. Conduct regular maintenance, servicing, repairs, and upgrades to machinery. Diagnose and resolve system issues, minimizing downtime. Collaborate with clients to ensure the best possible solutions and provide on-site training. Travel extensively to client sites (UK and internationally), ensuring first class service delivery. Ideal Candidate: Strong background in electrical and mechanical engineering. Experience with industrial equipment, PLCs, motors, drives, and control systems. PLC programming experience (Alan Bradley/Siemens) is a plus. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues on-site. Willingness to travel both within the UK and internationally, often for extended periods. Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
