POSITION: Reporting to Engineering Supervisor, we are seeking to appoint a strong team player located in or around the Guildford area, to add to our excellent engineering team. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out repairs onsite at locations throughout the UK and therefore, you must be able to identify issues customers may be experiencing and resolve these issues to ensure complete customer satisfaction. You should also have knowledge and understanding of new developments and technologies. You will have the opportunity to learn the installation process and progress to becoming a lead engineer where you will be the main person responsible for implementing new/upgrading systems and making sure administrators are trained to the required standard. This is a fantastic company that offers ongoing training, career development and the chance to work with innovative epos and IT equipment. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Carry out service calls. Represent CRB Cunninghams to the best of your ability. Maintain the excellent working relationships CRB Cunninghams has with its clients. Understand the requirements of the clients whilst carrying out repairs. Make sure you maintain your company vehicle weekly – Lights, Tyres & Fluids. Be flexible and prepared to take on additional tasks as and when required by other departments. Provide the Engineer supervisor with regular updates on progress, details of any other relevant issues, or further action to be taken. Be aware of Health and Safety requirements and ensure all procedures are observed for both your own and our client’s safety. Install and configure new systems. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Basic IT knowledge – operating systems, IP configuration work. Basic software knowledge (back office and epos software). Hold a full UK driving licence, which needs to be clean and valid. Can complete all aspects of field service with multiple calls. Internal system prep and hardware repair work. Understands what is required on an installation whilst working alongside a lead engineer to complete the implementation. Good communication skills. Your personal characteristics will include: Work on your own and/or as part of a team. Ability to handle clients professionally and often under pressure. Good communication skills. Be self-motivated and have a willingness to learn. Flexibility to work additional hours as and when required. Be organised with good time keeping. Be responsive to customer needs/requests.
