Harlow Alecto Recruitment are working with their client who have an exciting opportunity for a Field Service Engineer to join their dynamic operations team. This role involves traveling to customer sites to provide servicing, troubleshooting, and repairs on heavy plant machinery. You will be responsible for resolving technical issues, liaising with the service team, and ensuring all reports are accurately completed. Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Travel to customer sites to service and resolve issues with heavy plant equipment, including Wheeled Loaders, Excavators, Track Loaders, Shredders, Screens, and Waste Handlers. Liaise with the service team and technical support to troubleshoot and solve problems and order necessary parts. Complete service reports and submit hours worked in a timely manner. Ensure high-quality service standards and customer satisfaction. Required Knowledge & Experience:

Heavy Plant Knowledge: Extensive experience with a variety of heavy plant machinery, such as: Wheeled Loaders Excavators Track Loaders Shredders Screens Waste Handlers Brand Knowledge: Familiarity with the following brands is advantageous: Case Construction Equipment Terex Ecotec Keestrack The Package:

Basic Working Hours: 08:00 - 16:30 / 40 hours per week. Overtime Opportunities available as needed. Competitive Salary based on experience and skills. Holiday Entitlement: 32 days. Strong understanding of hydraulic and electrical schematics. Knowledge of engine aftertreatment systems (SCR, DPF). Solid understanding of electrical circuits. Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills. Proficient in using IT systems and software. Strong literacy and communication skills. Qualifications:

Valid Driving License. Apprentice NVQ Level 3 in plant maintenance or a similar qualification. Quarry Passport and Passport to Safety. Air Conditioning qualification is preferred. The Ideal Candidate:

Comfortable working as part of a team or on their own initiative. Flexible with working hours, including late nights or weekend work as required.
