Field Service Engineer (Field/Mobile Mechanic/Vehicle Technician)

Working Hours: 8am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday
Salary: A£31,000 - A£36,000 Starting Salary

The Field Service Engineer role is available in a market leader of forklift trucks. This position is ideal for those seeking a local field-based role, with ample training opportunities, potential for overtime, and clear progression routes. You will also enjoy a healthy work-life balance.
The company has a comprehensive training plan in place to fully support the engineers in the field. Candidates with experience in cars, HGVs, agriculture, motorbikes, plant equipment, or similar will be well suited for this role. You should demonstrate mechanical service and repair skills, ideally with engine diagnostic and some basic electrical skills.
Responsibilities:
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and breakdown coverage on materials handling machinery in a field service capacity. Provide reactive breakdown coverage within the allocated geographical area. Complete comprehensive training to become fully competent on all machinery and equipment. Manage spares placed in the van overnight.
Required Qualifications: Experience with cars, HGVs, agriculture, motorbikes, plant equipment, or similar.
