Field Service Engineer
to join our expanding team to work mainly in Wessex and East Devon to undertake the installation, planned and reactive maintenance of a wide range of increasingly complex commercial coffee machines and ancillary equipment. We provide an extensive training programme tailored towards our engineers based on their level of electrical and mechanical knowledge and expertise, as well as full product and health and safety training. About the Field Service Engineer role: Our field-based engineers are our first line of defence ensuring the proper installation, maintenance and repair of equipment working to the highest standards, meeting our customers' needs. With training you will be responsible for: Installing a wide range of espresso coffee machines. Attending faults, diagnosing problems and making repairs. Undertaking planned maintenance activities. Ordering parts and replacement units. Completing records and reports on machine status and services. Liaising with customers and our service desk. Explaining machine faults, findings and repairs undertaken to customers. It would be great if you had: A full UK driving licence (essential). A basic understanding of electricity and ability to understand equipment drawings/diagrams. Experience in the maintenance of electrical equipment or as an electrician. Experience or knowledge of maintaining electro-mechanical equipment. Field service experience (preferable). Basic plumbing skills (not essential). Experience in using PDAs, smartphones, and computers/tablets. Good face-to-face customer skills.
