Job Description: We are seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our highly skilled team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of advanced life science imaging systems. Working remotely and travelling to client sites across the UK, you will be an essential point of contact for customers, ensuring their systems perform optimally. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual with a strong background in life sciences and engineering to make a significant impact in a cutting-edge field. Key Responsibilities: Install, calibrate, and maintain life science imaging systems at client sites. Diagnose and resolve technical issues to minimise downtime and ensure customer satisfaction. Provide technical support and training to customers, both on-site and remotely. Liaise with the development team to identify and resolve complex technical challenges. Collaborate with customers to ensure systems are optimised for their specific applications. Maintain accurate service records and documentation. Stay updated on the latest developments in life science imaging technologies. Desired Qualifications and Skills: A degree in life sciences, engineering, physics, or a related technical discipline (PhD preferred). Strong technical understanding of optical systems, imaging technologies, and electronics. Previous experience in field service engineering, preferably within life sciences or imaging systems. Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload effectively. A valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel globally. Experience with microscopy and/or fluorescence imaging systems. Familiarity with the requirements of laboratory-based research.
