The hours of the role are Monday to Friday and participation in an on-call rota. Some of the duties and responsibilities associated with this role include:
Perform service and PPM checks, tests, and inspections in accordance with industry standards and hospital requirements. Identify and document items which have changed since previous inspections. Identify and report electrical faults. Identify and report changes in the condition of plant and/or plant rooms. Report any major issues that may/will affect medical gas supply. Submit job summary and maintenance reports. Maintain van stocks. Undertake a full range of servicing and reactive maintenance tasks.
To be considered for this role, you will have an engineering background, with a minimum of 2 years as a Service Engineer, or time-served apprenticeship (preferably multiskilled). Competent Person (MGPS) status will be an advantage.
A knowledge of servicing medical gas systems, compressor maintenance and repairs, and knowledge of compressors, vacuum pumps, gas manifolds, gas outlets, alarms, and pressure equipment will be desired but not essential.
Also required: A proactive approach to health and safety. Working knowledge of CMMS. Ability to prioritise and identify solutions. A positive can-do attitude and problem-solving mindset. Self-motivated, disciplined, and methodical in approach. Ability to build positive relationships with customers. A clean driving licence.
Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
